On this day you will be picked up at the hotel to take you to the Salt Cathedral in Zipaquira, which is an enclosure built inside the salt mines, hence its name. Inside is a rich artistic collection, especially of salt and marble sculptures in an environment full of a deep religious sense. The Salt Cathedral of Zipaquira is considered one of the most remarkable architectural and artistic achievements of Colombian architecture, and has even been awarded the title of architectural jewel of modernity. The importance of the Cathedral lies in its value as a cultural, religious and environmental heritage. After this visit you will have lunch and once you have had lunch, you will tour Zipaquirá to see a little more of its beauty. At the end of the tour you will return to Bogotá where you will be dropped off at the hotel again.

Pick up at the scheduled time for your transfer to the airport to take the flight to Yopal, which takes approximately 1 hour.

After your arrival in Yopal our local host will pick you up at the airport to leave for the nature reserve which is approximately 4 hours from Yopal. Upon arrival at the reserve, rest at the lodge and dinner.

After breakfast we embark on an exciting sightseeing journey of approximately 8 hours from our Ecolodge. After a delicious breakfast, you will cross the Ariporo River by canoe, then we will go up in jeeps or vans with local guides, where we will be offered snacks and lunch, which is occasionally enjoyed in the main house of Hato la Aurora. Throughout these 8 hours, divided into 4 in the morning and 4 in the afternoon, you will explore diverse ecosystems, from savannahs to forests and estuaries, while contemplating the rich fauna of the reserve. You are sure to see animals in their natural habitat up close, such as chigüiros, deer, palm bears, white hummingbirds, babillas, cattle, wild horses and more than 200 species of birds, including herons, egrets, herons, alcaravans, owls, owlets, güereres and various ibis, among others. It is also possible to see jaguars, pumas and anacondas.

En el Ecolodge Juan Solito, te ofrecemos la posibilidad de explorar el caño “El Toro”, el caño “El Indio”, el río Ariporo y el río Chire. Especialmente en el río Ariporo, nuestros visitantes disfrutarán de recorridos de 4 horas tanto por la mañana como por la tarde, brindándoles la oportunidad de avistar una fauna única en comparación con los safaris en Jeep o las cabalgatas. Podrán observar una variedad de tortugas, monos aulladores, numerosas aves y algunas especies que también se encuentran en los safaris, como babillas y chigüiros.
Cuando el nivel del río permite la navegación, utilizamos lanchas con motor, y en períodos más secos, optamos por embarcaciones de madera propulsadas con remos.

Después del desayuno traslado de la Reserva Natural hacia Yopal (aprox. 4 horas), al llegar al Aeropuerto en Yopal, vuelo hacia Bogotá que dura aproximadamente 1 hora.
Al llegar a Bogotá, recogida por nuestro anfitrión y traslado para iniciar el city tour. Empezamos en el centro de la ciudad, viajando en teleférico al cerro de Monserrate. Una vez que estés en la cima de la montaña, tendrás la oportunidad de admirar la majestuosa extensión de esta maravillosa ciudad y sus alrededores. Luego continuamos hacia el Museo del Oro (cerrado los lunes) para hacer un recorrido por sus salas principales.
Tendremos un descanso para almorzar y luego continuar la visita por el Centro Histórico, La Candelaria, donde conocerás los lugares más emblemáticos que caracterizan el lado político, religioso, educativo y cultural de Colombia.

This day will depend on the return flight. According to this you could enjoy the last hours in the capital. Pick up in Bogota and transfer to the airport to take the flight to Medellin which takes approximately 59 minutes.

In Medellín our host will be waiting for you at 7:30 a.m. to take you to the town of Guatapé, undoubtedly the most beautiful town in the mountains of Antioquia. It is something you can't miss on your visit to Medellín. You will start exploring the replica of the old Peñol, the town that was flooded to build the hydroelectric dam. Then you will head to La Piedra del Peñol and if you wish you will climb to the top (climbing fee not included) to discover a breathtaking view. Later, you will have lunch in the village and walk through its colorful streets, have a boat tour on the reservoir, understanding its history and tasting the typical sweets of the region. In the afternoon, after finishing the tour, one of our expert guides will be waiting for you for the transfer to Medellin, where you will arrive at the hotel around 4:30 pm.

During the tour, you will explore its rich history, fascinating culture and impressive transformation in recent years. The tour begins with a visit to San Antonio Park, where you will learn about Medellín's past. The route will continue on Junin Street. In this well known street you will make several stops where you will learn more about this beautiful city. The route will continue in other emblematic points of the city, such as Berrío Park. You will also contemplate some of the most famous murals of Medellín, such as the one by Pedro Nel Gómez. The next stop will be at Botero Square. It is located in the center of the city. Pick up at the hotel, to transfer you to the hacienda "La Morelia" and start the activities in the destination, this tour will begin with a specialized guide through the coffee plantations of the Finca La Morelia, a farm full of tradition, and a wonderful smell of Colombian coffee, there you can learn the details that reveal the excellent taste of coffee. You will be given a talk introducing you to the world of coffee and while you listen to this talk you will be able to taste a delicious coffee prepared with the filtration method. During the tour you will learn about the harvesting and other processes to reach the type of coffee for export. An expert will teach you the different techniques to process espresso, cappuccino, macchiato, moccacino and many more varieties of this delicious traditional beverage, how to recognize and taste them. At the end, transfer to your selected hotel. After checking in at the hotel you will have free time to rest.

This is Salento, a beautiful corner nestled in the heart of Quindío. Here, every corner will take you on a journey through time, where tradition and nature come together in a perfect embrace. The streets of Salento are like a living canvas, adorned with vibrant facades that seem to compete for your attention. Houses in pastel shades and wooden balconies adorned with potted flowers create a symphony of colors that envelop you in their charm. The central plaza, a focal point in the life of the community, is a place where locals and visitors alike gather to enjoy the warmth of the sun. The church of Nuestra Señora del Carmen, majestic in its simplicity, presides over the place with an elegance that will remind you of the deep faith rooted in this land. You will enjoy a tour of its colorful artisan streets and continuing with the day you will have the opportunity to visit the Mirador de la Cruz, a magical corner that will invite you to raise your eyes to the horizon and immerse yourself in a beautiful landscape. When you reach the Mirador de la Cruz, you will feel how the world at your feet expands in all directions. Finally you will make the tour through the Cocora Valley located in the central mountain range of the Andes and from there you can appreciate the ostentatious wax palms that are the national tree of this beautiful country, Colombia, you can enjoy its beauty, flora and fauna.

Free morning to enjoy Armenia and pick up at the scheduled time for your transfer to the airport to take the flight to Bogota where you will make a brief stopover to take your flight to Santa Marta; this takes approximately 1 hour and 35 minutes.

Upon arrival, our local host will be waiting for you, then you will start a city tour of the city of Santa Marta, a historical jewel in South America, displaying its rich cultural heritage in every corner. Its status as the oldest city on the continent has endowed it with an invaluable legacy, which is intertwined with an exceptional geographical location that encompasses a diversity of ecosystems and white sandy bays caressed by the crystal clear waters of the Caribbean Sea. The first stop is the majestic Cathedral Basilica, a silent witness of history and faith. Recognized as the oldest cathedral in Colombia, it houses the remains of the city's founder, evoking centuries of devotion and change. Its imposing presence and timeless architecture begin a tour that reveals layers of time at every step.

The Gold Museum, next stop on the route, opens the doors to a precious and ancestral world. Focused on the culture and gold pieces of the Tairona civilization, which flourished in the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta in pre-Columbian times, the museum is a window into an enriching past.

The Pibe de Valderrama Monument marks another must-see in this activity, providing a tribute to the sporting spirit and icon of Colombian soccer. At the end of the activity you will return to the starting point, the hotel. As the sun sinks into the Caribbean horizon, the traveler carries with him the sights, sounds and sensations of a day full of discovery, history and amazing scenery in the city of Santa Marta.

For this activity you will be picked up at 6:30 a.m. (If your hotel is located downtown, otherwise the time will be agreed the day before the tour with our host) you will pass through the center of the city and take a detour to the second entrance to the Tayrona National Natural Park. Upon arrival, you will be transferred to the Seven Waves Beach. During this trip you will be able to observe a beautiful tropical dry forest made up of cactus and bushes. But that's not all, you can let yourself be amazed at the viewpoint of the Seven Waves where you can enjoy the scenery and take beautiful pictures. Later you will arrive to Neguanje, where you will board a boat for 10 minutes that will take you to Playa Cristal, this beach is known for its crystal clear waters, white sand and rich marine life, there you will have free time to enjoy the sea, the beach, the breeze and the sand.

You will be picked up at your hotel at the appointed time and start the beautiful walking tour exploring the culture-laden streets of Cartagena. The first stop will be at the Castle of San Felipe de Barajas; a majestic witness of the past that stands as an unbeatable guardian of time. Its stone walls tell stories of sieges and battles, of military strategies and unwavering courage. As you enter its interior, you will feel the grandeur of its ingenious design, a perfect amalgam of European architecture and Spanish military influence. Later you will visit the Clock Tower. The tower was built in the 19th century and originally served as the main entrance to the walled city. The tour continues through the cobblestone streets to the next destination, the Plaza de Bolivar. Named after the independence hero Simón Bolívar, this square is one of the most important and emblematic public spaces in the city. In addition to its historical value, the Plaza de Bolivar is also important from an institutional point of view, since in its surroundings are located some significant governmental and religious buildings. Afterwards you will visit the Cathedral of Cartagena, one of the oldest in the Americas. You will hear impressive stories of pirate attacks and heroic deeds as you see the best of the city. At the end of the tour, you are free to stay in the historic center and return to your hotel on your own.

Para iniciar este tour te recogerán en tu hotel a las 7:30 a.m. para ir a visitar las Islas del Rosario, estas son probablemente uno de los destinos más buscados del Caribe. Está formado por decenas de islas, cayos y arrecifes de coral – Isla Bela es uno de ellos.
Saldrás de la bahía de Cartagena rumbo al sur durante unos 45 minutos para luego realizar un recorrido panorámico por las islas que conforman el Parque Natural Islas del Rosario, posteriormente disfrutarás de un relajante día de playa en la paradisiaca Isla Bela, nadarás en aguas cálidas y tranquilas. Su lugar para tomar el sol estará listo. Arrecifes, brisa, sol y diversión.

  2. Payment by debit or credit card (VISA, MASTERCARD, AMERICAN EXPRESS) in a telematic way. With an increase of 5% for concept of BANK FEE.

Important Note: Once the invoice has been issued, it is important to note that it has the same legal validity as a bill of exchange, in accordance with Article 774 of the Code of Commerce. In case of non-compliance with this payment obligation, we reserve the right to report the situation to the credit bureaus and apply interest for late payment.

Payment Policies

Payment for travel can be made as follows:

  1. First Payment (Trip Confirmation): When confirming your trip, we require a down payment of 30% of the total value of the trip plus the value of the international flights. In addition, you will have to pay the cost of the international flights to your final destination.
  2. Second Payment (60 days prior to travel): We ask that you make a second payment of 40% of the total value of the trip at least 60 days prior to your scheduled travel date or 100% if you prefer to pay in full at this time.
  3. Third payment (30 days before the start of the trip): Last payment must be made prior to departure date and can be the remaining 30% of the total value of the trip.

NOTE: If your travel date is over 30 days or less you must make full payment for the trip.

Cancellation policies (policies already established by the company)

If, for any justifiable reason, you need to cancel your trip, here is our cancellation policy:

  • Cancellation 30 days or more prior to the start of the activities: A cancellation fee of 30% of the total value of the trip will be applied.
  • Cancellation between 29 and 15 days before the start of the activities: A cancellation fee equivalent to 50% of the total value of the trip will be applied.
  • Cancellation between 15 and 10 days before the start of the trip: A cancellation fee of 75% of the total value of the trip will be applied.
  • Cancellation between day 9 of the trip and the day of departure: A cancellation fee of 100% of the total cost of the trip will be applied.

In the event that the cancellation is due to an external event or illness, we will evaluate each case in accordance with the cancellation policies of our suppliers. Please note that, once the reservation is confirmed, air, train, ferry or other transportation tickets are non-refundable.
