Los atractivos de Mocoa se encuentran en su exuberante naturaleza. La región está rodeada de los ecosistemas de los ríos Mocoa y Caquetá. Mocoa tiene paisajes hermosos y gran riqueza ecológica. Ofrece una variedad de sitios para ecoturismo y deportes extremos.

¿Ya sabes cómo llegar al Putumayo?

Hay tres vías terrestres que conectan Mocoa con el resto del país. También hay un aeropuerto nacional a menos de 40 minutos de la ciudad. A dos horas por carretera está el aeropuerto de Puerto Asís.

By air

• Satena: Vuela desde Bogotá cada dos días al Aeropuerto Cananguchal en Villagarzón. Mocoa está conectada por una carretera de 14 km.
• Otra ruta de Satena: Bogotá – Puerto Leguízamo, dos veces a la semana, miércoles y domingo.
• Easyfly: Vuela desde Bogotá cada dos días al aeropuerto de Puerto Asís. También hay vuelos de Cali a Puerto Asís.

By land

Desde el norte, Mocoa recibe la carretera que viene de Bogotá, pasando por Neiva y Pitalito en Huila. Varias empresas de transporte terrestre cubren esta ruta en 11 horas.

To the north, Mocoa receives the road coming from the center of the country, starting in Bogotá and passing through Neiva and Pitalito, in Huila (several national land transportation companies cover this route from the capital of the Republic in eleven hours).

- Go and take a bath in the waterfall of the End of the World, it is a waterfall with more than 75 m, it is hidden in these Amazonian lands, it is surrounded by a virgin landscape that connects the visitor with nature. Canyons and fauna are treasures of this territory.

• Aprecia las grandes piedras horadadas por la fuerza de la corriente, en el cañón del río Mandiyaco,con franjas angostas y alargadas que ocultan el cauce subyacente.

• Practicar senderimo, en La Cascada Hornoyaco ofrece un entorno ideal, camina través de tupidos bosques, avistar aves, y nadar en pozos cristalinos con aguas templadas, amplios, profundos y seguros.

•Rincón del Vides, el río más hermoso del Putumayo, es una esmeralda escondida que debes conocer. Se encuentra en Villa Garzón y puedes acceder a él a través de Canoa.

•Senderos medicinales para llegar a la cascada Mohano, donde un gran baño te ayudará a limpiar todas las energías y sentirte renovado.

• Recorrer Puerto Limón por el río Caquetá hasta la cascada La Honda, disfruta del tubing y descubre paisajes maravillosos.

• Paraíso Escondido, una caminata te llevará a observar aves, monos, mariposas, cascadas y la gran llanura Amazónica durante un día completo.

• El Tacacho es un delicioso puré de plátano verde con trozos de chicharrón.

• Las carnes ahumadas y el sancocho de gallina se preparan con achote y otras especias locales. Estas recetas se sirven con plátano y yuca, que en la región tienen un sabor y una consistencia especiales.

• Disfruta del sirope, una bebida hecha de zumo de caña con hielo y limón. También prueba el guarapo, una bebida fermentada a base de maíz que recibe este nombre en la región.

-Maito is a grilled Amazonian fish wrap served with cooked plantains and hearts of palm.

- Bishana which is a spicy soup whose main ingredient is cabbage accompanied by other fruits of the earth, sown by the indigenous people in a kind of communal garden called chagra.

- Chucula, an Amazonian drink made from Chirario "small banana", is an exquisite and nutritious drink. A drink that contains a variety of rich ingredients including milk, cinnamon, cloves and cloves.

- Cachama Ahumada, is a typical dish recognized and desired. Its nutrients and exquisite flavor are unmatched by any other Colombian dish. The preparation process is very simple, you only need; cachamas, onion, salt and pepper.

- Pirarucu can measure up to 4 meters and is therefore considered one of the kings of fresh water and the most sought after by tourists, is prepared in different ways, one of the most traditional in the region is the fried Pirarucu. This is usually accompanied with salad, white rice, fried plantain, yucca and a few drops of lemon juice.
