Trips that could have been and were not - Fragment 2.

We will return to design to experience travel from a new reality, more human, calmer, more natural.
Portugal, May 2020.
4:00 am, the cab is waiting for them at the front door of the house to take them to Barajas airport in Madrid. On May 1st they would celebrate Labor Day with a weekend getaway to Lisbon, Portugal.
This is simply our imagination trying to recreate an adventure that we had designed to be unforgettable.
Lisbon, a city that seems sad, that when you walk through it you feel a bit of nostalgia. 9:00 a.m. and you are already walking around the commerce square, looking for the streetcar stop 15E that will take you to the Belem district. The banks of the Tagus River and the monument of the navigators that greet you and all the tourists who visit this area. You arrive at the Belem gate and decide to stop and enjoy the view. You continue walking, and see a long line of people coming out of a blue and white house and go to stand in line. 30 minutes later they are eating the best pastel de Nata in the world.
They have already lost count of how many kilometers they have traveled, but they do not allow themselves to stop. They arrive at the Chiado district, the most Bohemian place in the city. The alleys are lined with cafes, souvenir stores and small restaurants. Walking without a map, letting life show them the way, they arrive at the Mirador de San Pedro de Alcantara and it seems that all the stars align to enjoy the sunset and the spectacular views of this place.
A sad song that sounds like flamenco, that feeling that gets into every pore of your body, that makes you imagine a melancholic scene, even if you don't understand the lyrics. A Fado concert in a small restaurant in the Alfama district is the best ending for the first day in Lisbon.
At the westernmost point of Europe, the cape of rock, the wind seems to throw them to the ground. It is the cliff where the continent ends, the Atlantic Ocean seems more immense, more impenetrable. They sit down to enjoy some free time and plan the last night in Lisbon.
This trip was over very quickly and we at Go and Travel imaginatively enjoyed every step they took. We saw them, in every purchase we made, in every hotel we booked, in every excursion we planned.
But they always say that there are second chances, things can always be done better. So here we are, your travel team waiting for the perfect moment to travel again.
And may imagination lead us all to explore a new destination.
