- Sunset on the Pan de Azúcar hill: It is the highest hill in the city and assures us the best view of the entire Aburrá Valley. It is located exactly at 2,000 meters above sea level, in the Villa Hermosa neighborhood. To reach its summit they have built stairs that make things easier.
Important: Don't forget to bring some sunscreen and a hat.
- Visit the Chorro de las Campanas: Prepare some sandwiches, water, some fruit and all the energy to connect with nature. An ecological hike in one of the largest natural parks in Envigado that has as its end point a creek, perfect for a rewarding bath after the effort. This place is located exactly in the El Vallano neighborhood, in the El Arenal sector. You can arrive in your private car or by public transportation to the old road, then you must continue walking along the edge of the creek La Miel to the Chorro de las campanas.
- Ecological hike in the nature reserve of La Romera: It is located less than five kilometers from the main park of Sabaneta. This route is perfect for families and if you are lucky you might find guaguas (a type of rodent that resembles a pig), squirrels, armadillos, cusumbos and different species of birds. In addition, there are several viewpoints to see the entire Aburrá Valley. You can go by car to the entrance and then enjoy a trail of about 5 kilometers to enjoy nature.
- How about visiting the source of the Medellín River? A sanctuary called Alto de San Miguel. This place is one of the most biodiverse near Medellin, it has 120 species of butterflies, 82 mammals, 520 plants, and about 12% of birds registered in Colombia. You should arrive at the La Clara trail and hopefully with a local guide (if you need one, do not hesitate to contact us). The hike takes about six hours, but you will arrive at the refuge that the Mayor's Office of Medellín has in this place. The hike is along the river bed, which then takes you through a pine forest. This is a unique place very close to the city.
- A picnic in Parques del Rio. We don't have to go far to experience nature either. One of the most recent mega works in the city has a picnic area and a multipurpose trail. This is a very cool plan that you can enjoy at any time in our city. Take advantage of this new space in the company of your family, your pet or even your bike.
