COLOMBIA'S FESTIVALS THAT YOU MUST EXPERIENCE
In Colombia joy is a hallmark, music, dance, partying and culture are characteristic of our festivals and carnivals. Meet some of the parties in Colombia that you must experience:
Barranquilla Carnival
It takes place during four days at the end of February and as its slogan says: whoever lives it is the one who enjoys it.
En estos días se respira alegría, las calles de la ciudad se convierten en los mejores escenarios para las expresiones artísticas y culturales. Todo se nicia con la “Batalla de flores”, un desfile de carrozas, disfraces, comparsas y mucho baile.
Después en el segundo día se lleva a cabo la Gran Parada de Tradición y Folclor . Es un espacio para celebrar y mostrar lo mejor del folclor del país. Se continúa el tercer día, se realiza la Gran Parada de la Fantasía . Finalmente el cuarto día se termina con el “funeral” de “Joselito Carnaval” que es la representación misma de esta fiesta.

Carnival of Blacks and Whites
It is held from January 2 to 7 in Pasto, Nariño; cultural and ethnic diversity are its raison d'être, that is why this carnival symbolizes the union of cultures.
During these days you will appreciate huge and colorful floats made by the artisan hands of the inhabitants of the place. To honor its name, "Black Day" is celebrated to commemorate the days off that the slaves had and "White Day".

Las Flores Fair
Esta feria se celebra en Medellín a comienzos de agosto y dura 10 días. Se exalta la cultura silletera. El evento principal es el desfile de silleteros, donde las calles se llenan de flores y los campesinos muestran sus coloridas creaciones. También hay muestras gastronómicas, el desfile de autos clásicos y antiguos, el Festival Nacional de la Trova y más eventos.

Cali Fair
It is held in the city of Cali during the last week of December, days in which music and dance are the protagonists.
As it could not be different, the streets vibrate to the rhythm of salsa and that is why the most outstanding event of the fair is the "Salsódromo" where more than 1,200 dancers show their steps and cheer up the spectators, there are also multiple concerts and a parade of antique cars.

Manizales Fair
It takes place at the beginning of January in the city of Manizales, an event full of music, culture and tradition.
During these days the International Coffee Reign, the National Trova Festival, the Tango Festival, the "Yipaos" parade where Jeep cars loaded with coffee and peasant products make pirouettes to delight the public, among others, take place.
