Known as the "Branch of Heaven" and also as the "Capital of Salsa", we can realize the peculiarity of this beautiful city. Being one of the main cities of Colombia, Cali is, without a doubt, a destination you cannot miss. Loved by its inhabitants and also by its visitors, owner of songs of famous groups such as Grupo Niche that with their song "Cali Pachanguero" created a hymn that perfectly describes this feeling.

What activities and places to visit in Cali?

To contextualize yourself and vibrate on the same waves as Cali, the first thing you should do is walk through its historic center.

For this, you must visit without fail, the San Antonio neighborhood. One of the favorite destinations for tourists where you can choose from a wide variety of foods and bars to have a good time. You will also find many artisans offering souvenirs of all kinds.

If you are interested in an experience surrounded by nature, then I invite you to visit the Farallones Park. Here you will have the opportunity to enjoy beautiful views of ample greenery and you can receive programs on environmental education to create ecological awareness.

If you went to Cali, and did not do something as simple as taking a picture on the Ortiz Bridge, it is as if you had not gone to Cali. This bridge is one of the most recognized architectural symbols of Cali. It even seems that walking through the city you will inevitably reach the bridge.

To see animals up close, you can take a tour of the Cali Zoo. It is located in the old municipal forest on the banks of the Cali River. Here you can find a wide variety of species, from felines, birds, primates and of course, the striking butterfly garden. We know you will love it.

A more dynamic experience would be the Sugar Cane Park. A large recreational complex where the pools, one of them with waves, slides, courts and other attractions will be an unforgettable adventure.

Always impressive and imposing, we have the Cristo Rey. With its more than twenty-five meters high, this statue is also one of the favorite destinations for tourists. This statue represents the end of the Thousand Days War. During the tour to get to the statue, you can marvel at the works of the glyph artist, Carlos Andres Gomez.

And last but not least... Dancing! If you are in the "Capital of Salsa", you can't leave without dancing and enjoying the incomparable salsa caleña. There are plenty of "rumbeaderos" in the city where everyone will want to ask you to dance. No judgment, just enjoy. And remember that as the saying goes... Cali is Cali, the rest is loma.
