Our country has faced many challenges over the years, among them the armed conflict with the now extinct FARC-EP guerrilla. This conflict that lasted more than 50 years made it impossible to access many of the most beautiful areas of Colombia, because they were battlefields and people were afraid to go near them. But now the situation has changed, places like the Sierra de la Macarena, Ciudad Perdida, San Vicente del Caguán, among many other destinations that were previously unthinkable to visit, are now open to the public; the hope of its inhabitants is rising again, as they see in tourism a vehicle for peace, development and new opportunities. Like those who take care of their homes, they promote responsible tourism that respects the environment and the communities; they are full of stories that are waiting to be heard.
In Go and Travelwe believe in tourism as a tool for peace building and transformation, we know that with the generation of employment we are changing the lives of those who inhabit these incredible territories and also, that there is no one who knows these destinations better than its inhabitants, that is why all our hosts are local experts who will guide you as only they know how to do it.
